Large Animal Services

Medical Care

Here at CVH, we're proud to work with a variety of producers and large animal operations ranging from outfitters, guest ranches, large- and small-scale cow-calf premises to 4H and hobby farm enthusiasts. Agriculture is a critical part of our way of life in Park County, Montana and our staff are eager to play their part in keeping it alive. As people yearn to live more harmoniously with the land they live on and homesteading and subsistence living become more popular, we aim to provide the highest quality care to keep the animals you depend on healthy and thriving. 4H, FFA and other show animals are crucial to raising awareness of animal husbandry and the importance of farming in our community. We are happy to help with routine and non-routine or emergent services for cattle, small ruminants (sheep and goats), swine (pigs), and camelids (llamas and alpacas). Please feel free to contact us for equine referral information beyond the below-listed services.

Preventative Medicine, Herd Health & Vaccination Programs

Keeping livestock healthy, rather than treating sick animals, can be critical to gains, profitability and results at show. Our veterinarians are happy to work with you to develop vaccination and other preventative medicine programs, whether you have two animals or 200. They are familiar with common livestock diseases and well-versed in vaccines to aid in preventing them. If you're new to livestock ownership, we will conduct an assessment to determine what preventative measures are prudent for your facility and animals. Under new FDA regulations (GFI #263), antibiotics and other medications that used to be over-the-counter and available at the feedstore are now prescription-only and will require a veterinarian's approval. Work with us to keep your animals healthy and we'll make sure you have access to the medications you need when issues arise.
